This year Manteca did all their 4th of July celebrations on Friday the 3rd instead. My sister Amy and I took the kids to the parade in town. We found a spot at the beginning in the shade. The girls were facinated with the baton twirlers and the boys were into the army trucks and tractors.
Im not sure what this was called exactly, but it was interesting to watch

That night we went to our friends house for a bbq and to watch the fireworks. We had lots of good food and the kids enjoyed the firework show! I wish I had a picture of the cute popcorn cupcakes my friend Tiffanie made.

On the 4th we went to Ben and Amy's for some swimming and BBQ'inJackson was brave and headed out to the deep end with Nana
They had some of those pop rock fireworks you throw on the ground and they make a loud pop. The kids were loving it. Sam got the fly swatter to slap them too.
