The San Francisco Zoo

Melissa and I took the kids and met at the zoo in SF. Expecting it to be cold...we had blankets, heavy coats and hats. The weather turned out to be perfect...even a little on the warm side which is odd for SF.

Jams and Jack
We parked WAY far away to avoid 8$ in parking. Sounded good going in when the kids were happy and excited...not so fun coming out when they were tired and grumpy.
Lee Lee was rocking her shades, purse and backpack pretty much the whole day!
First stop a picture on the statue.
The zoo has the most beautiful exhibit for the giraffes, zebras and some other random animals. Tall trees, lost of grass and water.
I wish we could have gotten the full palm tree in this pic. It was a great sight with the tall giraffe standing between all the palm trees.

They had a bunch of monkeys and 2 big apes who were both camera shy. A few more poses with the elephant and the hippo. I promise Jack did get out of the stroller...he just always wanted to go the exact opposite of where we wanted him to be.
They had 2 lion exibits..both looked just like this...a sleeping couple.

Looking down at the lions
Next was the train ride. All the kids loved this! Shohn, Lee Lee and Melissa
Then we headed over to the petting zoo which I think was the favorite of the day. They have goats and sheep running around. A few horses and llamas there too!

Shohn was telling this goat something LOL!

Mommy and the kids Jack liked this little tractor
And then sis had to have her turn
They have out brushes and rakes for the kids to play with.
Here is Jack giving the goat a piece of food....he then freaked when it nibbled his hand!
